Based in London since 2011, I am a Photographer graduated in Journalism, specialising in Photography. I began as a Photojournalist and for ten years I worked for many newspapers and magazines across Brazil. Then I moved to a small town in Northeast of Brazil, where I dedicated my time to personal projects, particularly portraits of local people and seaside landscapes. Later on I moved to London and took part in several projects including photojournalism, portraiture, street photography and a blog covering the London 2012 Olympics Games. Recent photographic work has taken me to Rome, Malta and back to Brazil and my personal aesthetic researches include Paris, Amsterdam, Budapest and Israel. Today I divide my time between commissioned works and personal projects such as double exposure photography.
My double exposure project consists of the overlapping of photographs that can be taken across different times, spaces and, scales. The images are intended to be fragments of everyday life, situated among ordinary things, places and people, yet nevertheless unveiling the inherent beauty within such things. My current work focuses on Brighton, but my wider portfolio includes photographs of London, and other places I have traveled to.
